Downgrade to patch 1.10.114 (or any patch) through steam. I highly recommend you change the download settings for Fallout 4 on Steam, that way. Would be nice as a standalone patch so i don't have re download the game again. I can only find 1.10.26 which is useless to me without 1.10.20. And the only torrent i found was one with 79 other mods that I do not want nor do I care about.
Apparently all that's needed is the.exe file. Now, there are multiple ways to get it.
Both legal and illegal. For illegal option, use Google, couple reddit users posted the exe to download.
The legal option is to use Steam console to grab the exe. Instructions found here: But I've done the digging, the command is below. Launch steam with console, by modifying shortcut to add '-console' (without quotation marks) at the end of the Target field.
Once launched, notice Console tab up top. Fallout4.exe version 1.10.20 Steam Console grab command: downloaddepot 341 Console will output file location path. Create backup of 1.10.26 executable, overwrite with downloaded 1.10.20. Disable updates.edit. (not really, as it does sometimes CTD.Due to exe being different? Or more likely Bethesda fudged up something in the patch. Anyway I had no CTD prior to patch, with over 150 mods active).

None of us really believe that Bethesda would continue to patch the game this far after release. Skyrim script extender? Dont you mean f4se? Originally posted by:Aye. Apparently all that's needed is the.exe file.

I can confirm it does work. I followed instructions and everything managed to run smoothly and normally as it previously did.

Anyway I had no CTD prior to patch, with over 150 mods active) Thanks for the fix Rant: I wish it were simpler though. At the end of the day f4se only works if it is updated to my current fo4 update. So when fo4 forces an update for something I don't even use, like creation club, I get to wait a week for f4se to update as well before I can play the single player game that I already paid for, in a way that I want to play it. I don't effect the way everyone else plays in any way, shape, or form, so I really don't get why I cant just turn off updates until I see a corresponding f4se patch/patches for my mods. If only the game didnt take so long to redownload; I should've just pirated it in the first place. No extremely game breaking enforced updates that force me to not play fo4 that way.

Now all i have to do is wait for MCM and a couple other mods to update, so i can actually launch the game, as with 1.10.26 and F4se 0.6.0 it shows version warnings and crashes before Bethesda logo even shows.
Staying at 1.10.20 then. Now latest F4se doesnt want to run with old Fallout!!!
So back to old f4se again. The sh.t we have to go through to play the game we want.:).
